APS Consulting factura como consultora y se comporta como compañía de producto. Cada encargo alimenta una arquitectura analítica propia que mejora con el uso, y esa arquitectura, no las horas facturadas, es donde se acumula el valor.

APS Consulting invoices as a consultancy and behaves as a product company. Every engagement feeds a proprietary analytical architecture that improves with use, and that architecture, rather than billed hours, is where value accumulates.

Una consultora tradicional tiene un problema estructural conocido: su capacidad es función del tiempo de sus profesionales, el conocimiento se va con el equipo que rota, y cada encargo empieza cerca de cero. Crece contratando y deja de crecer cuando deja de contratar.

A traditional consultancy has a known structural problem: its capacity is a function of its professionals' time, knowledge leaves with the team that rotates, and every engagement starts close to zero. It grows by hiring and stops growing when it stops hiring.

APS opera sobre otra base. El método está codificado, los juicios persisten con su estado y sus indicadores, y el acervo de cada dominio se conserva entre encargos. El análisis número cien sobre un mismo dominio no cuesta lo que costó el primero.

APS operates on a different base. The method is codified, judgments persist with their state and indicators, and the accumulated body for each domain is retained between engagements. The hundredth analysis in the same domain does not cost what the first one did.

El valor no está en las horas que APS vende. Está en que cada hora vendida deja algo detrás que hace más barata y más precisa la hora siguiente.

Value does not lie in the hours APS sells. It lies in the fact that every hour sold leaves something behind that makes the next hour cheaper and more precise.

The advisory practice provides direct access to those who define requirements and approve budget in governments, armed and police forces, and critical infrastructure operators. It is the slowest part to build and the part already built.

Las técnicas que APS aplica son públicas. Lo que no es replicable con facilidad es la codificación, el acervo acumulado por dominio y la relación institucional. La ventaja es de tiempo acumulado, no de secreto técnico, y hay que sostenerla operando.

The techniques APS applies are public. What is not easily replicable is the codification, the accumulated body per domain and the institutional relationship. The advantage is accumulated time, not technical secrecy, and it must be sustained by operating.
